ADVANCEMENT DAYS
Merit Badge Advancement Day is at the Alameda Building (southeast corner of College & Alameda). Scouts can take 2 merit badges (or 1 full day merit badge: First Aid & Emergency Preparedness) each Advancement Day. 12-Year Old Scouts need to take First Aid, Citizenship in the Community and Citizenship in the Nation. 13-Year Old Scouts need to take Emergency Preparedness and Citizenship in the World. After these required merit badges are completed, Scouts can choose from these other merit badges.

Please check with Brother Layton about your individual progress and which merit badges are needed for rank advancement. Scouts need to be dropped off at the Alameda Building at 7:00am and picked up starting at 11:30 as most classes dismiss earlier than 11:45. A snack bar is offered where Scouts can purchase hot dogs, drinks and snacks for a minimal fee. At least one adult leader from the Twelve Oaks 2nd Ward will be present during the entire Advancement Day.
